Our client, a local Physician is currently seeking a dependable and highly organized Medical Administrative Assistant to support and manage a busy practice. This is a permanent opportunity in their Halifax office.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phone call inquiries
  • Managing a complex schedule
  • Maintaining an organized file system
  • Maintaining electronic files and transcribing documents
  • Other administrative tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ medical administrative experience
  • Graduate of a recognized medical office administrative program preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proven ability to multi-task with strong time management skills and telephone etiquette skills
  • High attention to detail and organization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using electronic medical records required
