We’re currently seeking a Reception / Administrative Assistant for a 1 year maternity leave term opportunity in downtown Halifax. Reporting to the Office Manager, this role will act as the first point of contact while providing comprehensive administrative support.  Our client is seeking polished and highly professional individual with a pleasant manner to join their team in this critical role.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Greet and direct all visitors
  • Receive and transfer phone calls
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail/couriers
  • General housekeeping and office maintenance
  • Arrange boardroom meetings and catering
  • Print and verify client invoices
  • Prepare deposits and remittances 

Requirements: 

  • Relevant post-secondary diploma
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Professional and calm demeanour in all situations
  • High level of organization
  • Ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
